They can't challenge Cohen's testimony factually. So they call him a liar over and over again, hoping that folks don't connect the dots and realize:
a) Cohen was in Trump's employ for roughly 10 years.
b) Presumably Trump knew of his character flaws, and kept him on, nonetheless. (If he didn't know of those character flaws and evidence of those flaws, then Trump's obliviousness suggests further problems with the man.)
c) That, therefore, Trump prized that flawed character and saw uses for it.
d) That those uses are arguably cases of law-breaking on the part of Cohen's previous employer.
And, to use a phrase I've used elsewhere today, the GOP, knowing that, is doing the flop sweat jitterbug.
